Hilda Hess

Service for Hilda Ruth Hess, 92, lifelong resident of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Eddie Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hess passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 in Burleson. She was born Dec. 29, 1919 in Alabama to C.W. and Teresa Garner Starling. She married W.S. Knight and he preceded her in death in 1970. She then married R.J. "Bob" Hess in 1975 and he preceded her in death in 1993.

Mrs. Hess was a retired clothing inspector with 25 years service for Walls Manufacturing Company and a member of Henderson Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Smith and husband, Charles of Burleson; three stepsons, Dennis Hess and wife, Mary of Arizona, Larry Hess and wife Maggie of Iowa and Roger Hess and wife Delores of Crowley; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Barham and husband Tommy of Cleburne. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Juanita Chastain and two brothers, Morris Starling and Alden Starling.
