Graveside service for Hiram “Ten High” Evans, 78, of Joshua will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday, Aug. 25, 2017 in Rosehill Cemetery. Pastor Ted Stevens will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Hiram “Ten High” Evans passed away Monday, Aug. 21, 2017 in Ft. Worth. He was born Aug. 13, 1939 in Cleburne to Walter Rembert and Reba Bonita Titus Evans. He married Nelda June Beck in February 23, 1962 in Glen Rose and she preceded him in death in 1996.
Mr. Evans served in the United States Army and was a local automotive shop owner. He was a loving father and brother and a friend to many. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Cleburne.
Survivors include his beloved children, George Evans and wife Nancy of Rio Vista, Rickey Evans of Cleburne, Steve Evans and wife Tammy of Cleburne, Sherri Rogers and husband Bruce of Joshua, James Evans of Cleburne, Sheila Pilato and husband Mike of Palmetto, FL and Rhonda Maxwell and husband Jesse of Rio Vista; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brother, Wallace Evans and wife Nanette of Burleson; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly. He was also preceded in death by his parents; beloved son, Michael Evans on July 12, 2017 and three brothers, Charles Evans, Walter Evans and Kenneth Evans.
