Hollis Weldon Ford passed away Thursday, February 17, 2005, at his home in Cleburne. He was born November 1, 1919 in Norton, Texas, to William Henry and Roxie Jane Martin Ford. He married Vivian Gieger on December 29, 1940 in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Mr. Ford was a World War II veteran, having served in the United States Navy in the South Pacific. After 33 years of employment, Mr. Ford retired in 1976 from General Dynamics in Fort Worth. He served as a deacon at Forest Park Baptist Church, Fort Worth; First Baptist Church, Grandview; and Field Street Baptist Church in Cleburne.
Hollis Weldon Ford is survived by his wife of 64 years, Vivian Ford; two daughters, Jan Ridlehoover and husband Don of Cleburne and Connie Parr and husband Glenn of Cleburne; grandchildren, Kevin Ridlehoover of Columbia, Missouri, Jill Jackson and husband James of Cleburne, Jody Ridlehoover and wife, Jennifer of Burleson, Shelley Romans and husband David of Temple, Kara Caldwell and husband Randy of Temple and Brandon Parr and wife Karina of Marshall; great-grandchildren, Ashley Greenhill of Joshua, Luke, Hope, and Levi Ridlehoover of Burleson, Daniel and Grant Jackson of Cleburne and Vivian Romans of Temple.
