Services for Homer Lewis Curlee, 80, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 12, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Rev. Charles Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Curlee, Greg Curlee, Trevor Hicks, Kenny Curlee, Kevin Curlee and Bill Thedford.

Homer Lewis Curlee went to be with God on Saturday, June 9, 2007, at his home in Cleburne. He was born in Hill County, Texas, March 10, 1927, the son of Robert L. and Mary Bilton Curlee. He was married for 62 years to Colleen Johnson Curlee of Cleburne.

Mr. Curlee, a retired residential building contractor, served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Homer Lewis Curlee is survived by his wife, Colleen Curlee; son, Larry Curlee and wife, Carol, of Joshua; grandsons, David Curlee and wife, Maria, of Kopperl, Greg Curlee and wife, Kim, of Lubbock; granddaughter, Marcy Hicks and husband, Trevor, of The Woodlands, TX; great-grandchildren, Jessie and Stacey Curlee, of Kopperl, Abby Curlee, of Lubbock and Dylan and Ashley Hicks of The Woodlands; sisters, Ruth McClure and Polly Gordon of Cleburne; brothers, Odie Curlee and Curtis Curlee, both of Cleburne; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Johnson and Bernis Johnson, also of Cleburne, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Brenda Curlee.
