Hubert Masters

Graveside services for Hubert Masters, 92, of Keene will be conducted at 10 A.M. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 in the Morgan Cemetery in Bosque County. The Rev. Jim Whitt will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Masters passed away Friday, August 20, 2010 in Keene. He was born September 8, 1917 in Cleburne to Walter Clyde and Mary Ida Whitt Masters.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army Air Corps for 30 years before retiring and was a rancher for many years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the VFW. He was of the Baptist faith.
Hubert is survived by his sons, Todd Masters of Crowley and Tom Masters and wife Daryl of Georgia; daughters, Jody Posterwaite and husband Lynn of Electra and LuShane McCarty; a number of grandchildren; step-daughters, Bonnie Von Krosigk and Beth Hughweiler; sisters, Adrel Young, Loree Meador and Alma "Totsy" Anderson; one brother, Raymond Masters; a number of nieces and nephews and two special nieces, George Ann Allen and Diana Fiedler.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia on September 11, 2001; two brothers, Wayne and Wilbert Masters and two sisters, Billie Fox and Lily Banner.
