Ida Ruth Ellis was known for her patience, generosity, friendship, laughter, love of family, and faith in God that He was always in control. She passed away December 29, 2020, in Cleburne, Texas.

Born October 24, 1936 in the Buel Community as third daughter to J. D. and Azelle Cash Marshall, she attended school at Keene through the 8th grade. She transferred then to Cleburne High School and graduated in 1954. After attending secretarial school, Ida Ruth worked In Wichita Falls and Fort Worth. Later, after her children were in school, she worked and retired from the Tree of Life.

On July 31, 1958, she married the love of her life Henry Ellis. This love story lasted almost 57 years until he passed away in 2015. Their children were Asa Lynn who preceded her in death in 2012 and Lance Ellis of the home. Other survivors include her sister Mrs. Sue Lewis of Wichita Falls and sister-in-law Mrs. Jackie Marshall of Austin. It also includes a host of nieces and nephews who adored their Auntie Ida Ruth.

Viewing will be held Sunday, January 3 at 6 P.M. at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home; graveside services will be at 2 P.M., January 4, at the Rosehill Cemetery.
