Ida Mae Roe

Service for Ida Mae Mills Roe, 90, of Godley will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Daren Schroeder will officiate. Burial will follow in Godley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Aaron Roe, Trenton Talkington, Travis Talkington, Dakota Talkington, Michael Roe, and Christopher Scarborough. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Ida Mae Mills Roe passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 in Godley. She was born Sept. 23, 1926 in Seminole, Okla. to William Thomas and Anna Bella Reddington Mills. She married Bill Roe on June 27, 1946 in Ada, Okla. and he preceded her in death in 1995.
Mrs. Roe received a B.A. from Texas Wesleyan University and was a teacher at Godley ISD for 19 years. She was a member of Godley Church of Christ and taught Sunday school for many years.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan Talkington of Godley, Marilyn Nelson of Dadeville, MO, and Debbie Scarborough of Granbury; sons, Gary Roe and Alan Roe, both of Godley; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Imogene Esau; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her greatly. She was also preceded in death by her parents and infant son, Bill Thomas Roe.
