Ida Rice

Graveside services for Louise M. Rice, also know as Aunt Suzy, 90, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 13, 2009. Burial will be in the Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rice passed away Thursday, June 11, 2009 in Cleburne, surrounded by her family.
She was born May 7, 1919 in Itasca to William and Ruby Calloway Mahurin. She was a longtime member of the Granbury Street Church of Christ in Cleburne. She worked as a counter clerk for Kitchens Bakery for a number of years and had also had completed beauty school. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Loy Rice and sisters, Winnie Anderson, and Billie McCrary.

Survivors include her sons, Richard and wife Connie Rice of Lantana; Randall and wife Starla Rice of Louisiana; sister, Dixie Doyle of McAllen, brother, Nelton and wife Martha Mahurin of Cleburne; grandchildren, Andra Lorenz and Matt, Sheri Swindell and Dan, Ritchie Rice and Julie, Casey Giardina, Trei Gordon and Brad and Cameron Rice; 12 great-grandchildren, special daughter, Carol Jones Johnson of Cleburne, nieces, nephews; and many friends.
