Ignacio Mendoza Vasquez was born on February 1, 1942 to Santiago and Maria del Refugio Vasquez Mendoza in Galeana Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He moved to Dallas, Texas in 1963 to attend Seminary and begin his calling for Christ. He met the love of his life, Lydia Alcala, in Mundy, Texas in 1966. They married shortly after and started their 54 years of marital bliss. He was a contractor by trade performing both residential and commercial construction projects, however his greatest work was witnessing to others and bringing lives to God.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers Cupertino, Guadalupe, and Cresencio Vasquez.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia Vasquez, two sisters, Anita Luna, Concepcion Pozos and spouse Delfino, and three brothers, Jose and spouse Juana, Isaias and spouse Socorro, and Santiago Vasquez.
He is also survived by his six children, Sally Beauvais, Sarah Sarchet and husband Barry, Abigail Vasquez, Ignacio “Iggy” Vasquez and spouse Laney, Paul “Jimmy” Vasquez and spouse Tricia, and Kristi Vasquez.
He was a grandparent to 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great-great- grandchild. He is beloved and will be missed by numerous friends and family members in the United States and Mexico.
Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, November 11, 2020 at the funeral home. Service will be private.
