Ina Cooke

Ina Mae Morrow Cooke passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at her home in Cleburne. She was born to John Wesley Morrow and Ina Lee Hewlett Morrow at George's Creek, Texas. She was the fifth child of seven brothers and sisters who have all preceded her to their heavenly home. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.

She married Carroll C. Cooke of Cleburne on May 22, 1937. They made their home in the Godley area until 1946 when they moved to Cleburne. Mr. Cooke passed away on April 28, 1995.

Mrs. Cooke was a retired teacher having taught at several small schools in Somervell County, Keene Public School and C.C. Cooke Elementary in Cleburne. Upon early retirement from the Cleburne Schools for health reasons she became a full-time grandmother caring for her grandchildren while their mothers worked. They all loved and adored "Granny"

Carroll and Ina Mae are the parents of four children who survive them; Carolyn Mae Kuklies, John Thomas Cooke, Ina Lee Roden Brown and James Carroll Cooke all of Cleburne. She is also survived by daughter-in-law, Joy Cooke; son-in-law, Weldon Brown; sister-in-law, Mary Morrow Jones and brother-in-law, Charles C. Cooke; eight grandchildren, Melissa Kuklies Tillman and husband, Jeff; Steven Kuklies; Bill Roden, Jr. and wife, Gaye; Tom Roden and wife Kelly; Cammie Cooke Marrs and husband, Chris; Milton Cooke and wife, Julie, Jamie Cooke and Ryan Cooke; twelve great-grandchildren, Scott Roden, Jessica Roden, Will Roden, Reilly Roden, Kylie Roden, Christopher Tillman, Holly Tillman, Quintin Kuklies, Kendall Kuklies, Marcee Cooke, Cody Cooke, Caden Cooke and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in death by two loving sons-in-law, Milton Kuklies and Bill Roden, Sr.

Memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Breadbasket Fund, George's Creek Baptist Church or the Cleburne I.S.D. Scholarship Fund.
