Isom Finley

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Fireside Lodge, Trinity Hospice and the many friends from Westside Church of Christ.Isom Edgar Finley, 94, a retired real estate developer, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2005, in Cleburne.

Funeral services for Isom Edgar Finley will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 11, 2005 at Cleburne's Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home with David Tappe officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Isom Edgar Finley was born March 7, 1911, in Fort Spunky, Texas, the son of William Isom and Rebecca Sparks Finley. He married Ruby Stroud April 23, 1933, in Cleburne, Texas. She preceded him in death June 14, 1998. He was also preceded in death by eleven siblings. He was a Charter member of Westside Church of Christ. He made many friends through his real estate and insurance business. He especially enjoyed helping first-time home buyers obtain their homes. Isom was known for his fun-loving attitude which will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, JoAnn Spillman and husband, Thomas, of Austin; granddaughters, Susan Spillman and Karen Spillman, of Fort Worth; grandson, Thomas Spillman, III, of California; sister, Hazel Fallis, of Fort Worth; special friends, Gene Anne Huddleston, Nancy Herrin, Naoka Weatherford, all of Cleburne and Chris and Rick Scheber, of Stockton, Ilinois.

Memorials may be made to a Children's Charity of Choice.
