J. Banks

Mr. J.L. Banks was born Dec. 29, 1918 in Blum, to Jessie Larkin and Ollie Mae Wheeler Banks. He married Lovie Jessie Jackson and she preceded him in death on June 8, 1971. He married Vera Christeen Broumley on Dec. 16, 1971 in Cleburne. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. Mr. Banks was a retired machinist for the Santa Fe Railroad and a member of the Field Street Baptist Church.
Mr. Banks is survived by his wife, Vera Christeen Banks of Haltom City; 2 sons, Jay Larkin Banks and wife Cecilia of Haltom City and Alan Dwaine Richards of Grandview; 2 daughters, Sylvia Boese of Cleburne and Debbie Joyce McMullen and husband Bryan of Cleburne; 7 grandchildren, Jayden and Landen Banks, Jesse and William Bustamante, John Taylor, Christi and Heather Jobe and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Wesley, Troy and Ezra Banks and one son Kim Karl Banks.
