J. Calahan

Services for J.L. Calahan, 82, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. B.B. Stevens will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Frank Jones, Charles Head, Charles Ripley and Bob Anderson.

J.L. Calahan born December 3, 1924 to Jack and Tishie Calahan in Walnut Springs, Texas, died February 1, 2007 in a Fort Worth Hospital. He was a member of Central Church of Christ for many years. He had 1 brother, Richard Calahan. He married Wynona McVicker, after she died, he married Mary Lou Davis in Cleburne, June 15, 1962. He worked for Diamonds Auto Body for many years before opening up his own auto seat covering and air conditioning business. He was very dedicated to family and friends as well as being a wonderful 4-H leader for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, and both wives.
J.L. leaves behind 2 sons, Joe and daughter-in-law, Lisa Davis, Ricky and daughter-in-law Carla Davis; 2 daughters, Shelly and husband, Lawrence Smajstrla, Becky and husband, Calvin Jackson; and 7 grandchildren, Natalie and Ryan Davis, Sarah and Lane Smajstrla, Michael Jackson, April and Kyle Thomas, Dusty and Jennifer McLain, and one great-grandchild, Kelsey McLain.
