Graveside services for J.W. Hodges, 85, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2007 in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. Moye Featherstone will officiate.

J.W. Hodges passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007 in Cleburne. He was born January 4, 1922 in Tipton, Oklahoma to Jim and Wrennie Hammonds Hodges. He married Patsy Ruth Boyle on May 17, 1944 in Ft. Worth.

Mr. Hodges was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Navy. He retired after 361/2 years at Santa Fe Railroad and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a 50 year member of Joshua Masonic Lodge.

J.W. Hodges is survived by his daughter, Linda H. Irish of Cleburne; grandchildren, David Shane Tatum of Grand Prairie and Sandy Lynn Philbrick and husband Kelly Shane of Cleburne;sister, Nell Myatt of Louisana; three, great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christina and Rusty. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Ruth; daughter, Diana Lynn Hodges and sister, Christine Henley.
