Cleburne, Funeral services for J. W. Lundberg of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Cleburne's Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Charles Payne officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, in Walnut Springs, Texas. Serving as Pallbearers will be Grandsons.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Wednesday at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield.
J. W. Lundberg passed away on Monday, April 11, 2005 in Temple. He was born May 21, 1918 in China Springs, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II, earning a Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart, EAME Campaign Medal and one Bronze Star. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the V.F.W., D.A.V. and American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Climmie Ola (Bennett) Lundberg, one brother, Ed Lundberg, one sister, Catherine Carson and a grandson, Jody Dale.
Mr. Lundberg is survived by his wife, Peggy Smith Lundberg, of S. Coffeyville, Oklahoma; sons, Johnny Lundberg and wife, Becky, of Carrollton, Texas and Jimmy Lundberg and wife Julie, of Denton, Texas; daughters, Janice Stafford, of Fort Worth and Judy Martinez and husband, Tony, of Grapevine, Texas; four grandsons, John, Jeff, Corey and Taylor; five granddaughters, Kasey, Cari, Courtney, Jennifer and Marlee; two great-granddaughters, Brittany and Jeanna and one great-grandson, Preston.
