J.A. Leverett

Bud passed away in Fort Worth on Wednesday, October 14, 2009. Bud was born on August 31, 1929 in Nemo, Texas. He was married to his late wife, Sondra Lou Isreal, for over 50 years at the time of her passing. Bud worked for Santa Fe Railroad for over 50 years as well. He was a member of North Cleburne Baptist Church and the Elks Lodge. Bud enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, often playing cards, dominoes, fishing or country and western dancing. In his younger years, you could find him tinkering with old cars. It has been said that Papaw Bud could fix anything. His uplifting spirit and ability to put a smile on your face will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughters, Julie Leverett and Paula Prine; and son, Danny Leverett.



Survivors include his son, Curtis Leverett and wife, Barbara; seven grandchildren, Troy, Brian, Michael, Jessica, Erica, Chris, and Magean; eight great grandchildren; brother, Lewis Leverett; and a host of other relatives and friends.
