Jack C. Brittain, Jr, 79, of Grandview passed away March 10, 2022 in Grandview. He was born July 4, 1942 in San Diego, California to Jack Clyde, Sr. and Lysle Mary “Marie” Thompson Brittain. Raised in Fort Worth, Jack was part of the first (1960) graduating class of Eastern Hills High School where he was a cheerleader and excelled in tennis. After graduation he served honorably for four years in the U.S. Marines as a Corporal (E-4). After moving to Grandview, he married Joyce Elaine Pipes on September 1, 1990 in Grandview. Having given his life to Jesus while in the Marine Corps he continued his devotion to Christ as an active member of Chambers Creek Baptist Church. Jack worked over 14 years with Dannon Yogurt as an industrial electrician. Jack was a man who knew no strangers. He was known for his hugs and outgoing spirit. He enjoyed the country living and playing golf. Jack’s smile and infectiously happy nature will be greatly missed.
Jack is survived by his wife, Joyce Brittain; daughter, Stephanie Brittain; son, Scott Brittain and wife, Jenny; step-daughters, Amy Samuel and husband, Wendell, and Emily Duke; grandchildren, Archer Clark, Raymond Ford, James Ford, Rebecca Reeder and husband, Zack, Audrey Duffield and husband Brock, Sydney Samuel, Parker Duke, Kyle Samuel, Gracie Samuel and Luke Sisk; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, James Brittain and wife, Mackey, and Thomas Brittain; sisters, Darlene Wier and husband, John, Kerrie Urbaniak, Sheila Shidler and husband, Tom and Barbara Brittain and numerous nieces and nephews and host of other relatives and friends.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Chambers Creek Baptist Church.
