Mr. Green passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born to Jack Elmer Green and Ruth Dean Couch Green on October 4, 1940 in Cleburne. In his younger years, Jack was a boxer and jockey. Anytime he could be outdoors working on cars and motorcycles or a number of other activities he was happily doing so. Jack served the Cleburne community as a mail carrier for 43 years; retiring in 2004. He married Mitzi Gale Bridger on May 2, 1983 in Cleburne and attended Calvary Baptist Church. Jack was devoted to his family, loving each one unconditionally. He spent countless hours with his grandchildren and attended all the various activities and sports functions for each one; enjoying every minute. Jack was a servant at heart throughout his life whether it be at work, church or for loved ones. He was a simple man who impacted others around him in a big way. He was the perfect example of a man who was rich in love and life, not worldly things. He was content with all that Christ had provided him. Jack was a selfless man, giving to others and always putting their needs above his own needs. Christmas was a special time in his heart and the family rejoices in knowing he will be spending this Christmas with Christ as well as his recently deceased wife, Mitzi. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
