Graveside service for Jack Ray Linton, 84, of Grandview, will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 17, 2016 in the Squaw Creek Cemetery in Somervell County. Chaplain Larry Schneider will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Jack Ray Linton passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 in Grandview. He was born Dec. 24, 1931 in Ellis County to J.C. (Clyde) and Vada Scott Linton. He married Martha Jo Taylor on May 29, 1957 in Ardmore, Ok.
Mr. Linton served in the United States Air Force and worked as a truck driver before retiring. He was a loving husband, father, grand and great-grandfather; brother, and a friend to many. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his beloved wife of almost 59 years, Martha Linton of Grandview; children, Kathy and Russell Ivison of Duncanville, Pam Johnson of Joshua, Kenny and Sharon Linton of Alvarado, and Scott and Vonda Linton of Cleburne; twelve grandchildren, Aimee Smith, Erin and Matt Burkett, Josh Ivison, Jeremy and Patricia Johnson, Amber Hilley, Taylor and Jacob Williams, Tony Linton, Tyler Linton, Chance Linton, Caly Linton, Shanon and Natalie Crawford, and Sammy and Casey Stell; twelve great grandchildren, Vada Smith, Paisleigh Hilley, Campbell Hilley, Ephraim Williams, Jane Williams, Haila Linton, Hunter Foust, Kylan Linton, Morgan Crawford, Clayton Crawford, Trent Stell, and Easton Stell; brothers, Orren Linton of Iredell, Jerrell Linton of Grand Prairie, John Linton, and Jimmy Linton, both of Cleburne; sister, Gloria Phillips of Blum; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Bonceil McCoy.
