The family moved to Keene, Texas around 1945 to enable their sons to go to Adventist schools. He attended school in Keene and finished his business degree at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska. He enjoyed spending time with his older brother Eugene Robert Robinette and dearly missed him after he was killed in Korea. He was a lifelong member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He had many different business enterprises including manufacturing bean bag chairs and pecan shellers.
He married Rachel Mae Taylor on November 30, 1958, in Evans Hall, Keene, Texas. They raised their three beloved children in Keene to ensure they had the opportunity for Christian education. Their family grew to include more to love. Their children are son Bob and Angela (Bicek) Robinette and their daughters Katelyn and Claire Robinette of Garland, Texas, daughter Janice and David Bannister and their children Kathryn and James of Courtice, Ontario, Canada, and daughter Pam and J.C. Roney of Sturgeon, Missouri and their children John of Bering Springs, Michigan, Jacob of Sturgeon, Missouri and Jessyca and her husband Richard Crew along with his three great grandchildren, Colton, Caileigh and Carter Crew of Salmon, Idaho. Jack loved spending time with family and friends, he never met a stranger. He delighted in sharing books with others and used his various business adventures to do so. Mission work was an integral part of his life. He and Rachel instilled a love for nature and adventure in all their kids by including frequent hikes, canoe trips and vacations in God’s great outdoors. Church attendance and involvement was very important, he always found a church to attend no matter where he was. He is resting in Jesus to await his reunions with those he loved.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother.
