Service for Jack Claude Sellman, M.D., 83, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 22, 2015 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Sergio Rizo will officiate.
Jack Claude Sellman, M.D. passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 in Glen Rose. He was born February 16, 1932 in Glenns Ferry, Idaho to Jack Claude and Lillian Hill Sellman. He married Kathy Gipson on June 9, 1983 in Waxahachie.
Dr. Sellman served in the United States Army. He was a doctor of internal medicine and nephrology, retiring with 45 years of dedicated service. Jack enjoyed raising and training bird dogs and hunted often in his younger years. He was also an avid reader throughout life and loved to learn. Jack was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Sellman; children, Gloria Sellman, M.D. of Birmingham, AL, Joi Mairet of Duncanville, Hollis Sellman and wife Shannon Mills of Dallas, Shelby Sellman of Cleburne and Kimberly Sellman Sharpe and husband William of Albany, GA; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Tasha, Joshua, Mariah, Stella and Bill; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Norman, Lloyd, Wilbur, and Chet; and three sisters, Evelyn, Inez, and Emma.
