Service for Jackie Alamo, 92, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 15, 2018 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Cody Dowell will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-2:00 P.M., Saturday, prior to the service.
Jackie Alamo passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 in Fort Worth. She was born December 1, 1925 in Dallas to Edwin Charles and Ione Thelma Benson Killingsworth. She married Edward Douglas Alamo on December 14, 1941 in Rockwall. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1996.
Mrs. Alamo was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her children, Joan Dowell of Lubbock, Gary Alamo and wife Kelly of Cleburne and Mark Alamo and wife Dee of Red Oak; five grandchildren, Cody Dowell and wife Janet of Temple, Mindy Clark, and Brady Dowell and wife Karen, all of Lubbock, Joel Alamo and wife Melissa of Fraser, CO. and Andy Alamo of Red Oak; great grandchildren, Casey Clark of Lubbock, Meghan Dowell of Kansas City, MO., Chelsea Clark of Austin, Drew Alamo of Golden, CO and Parker Alamo of Fraser, CO.; sister, Joyce Adams of Canton; several nieces and nephews, and additional loving family; and her beloved dog, Bree. She was also preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Jerry Dowell and sister, Katherine Stepan.
