Mass of Christian burial for Jacob John (Jake) Rohr, Jr., 82, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Sergio Rizo will officiate. Burial will be at 1:00 P.M., Friday, Feb. 12, 2016 in the DFW National Cemetery. Rosary will be at 5:30 P.M., Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016 with visitation from 6-8:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
Jake Rohr passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 in Cleburne. He was born March 30, 1933 in Topeka, KS to Jacob John Sr. and Armella Schiefelbein Rohr. He married Grace Elizabeth Williams on Sept. 7, 1957 in Topeka, KS.
Jake served in the United States Army and worked as a supervisor for Santa Fe Railroad, retiring with 35 years of service. He then worked for the City of Cleburne in the Police Department and Adult Probation for 10 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Grace Rohr of Cleburne; seven children, Randy Rohr of Austin, Michael Rohr and wife Lisa of Cleburne, Lisa Rohr of Cleburne, Tim Rohr and wife Angie of Mansfield, Larry Rohr and wife Kayla of Houston, Amy Small of Cleburne; and Kristin Bruce and husband Troy of Kentucky; ten grandchildren, Megan, Allison, T.J., Kennedy, Kamdon, Emma, Sara, Brittney, Courtney, and Berkeley; sister, Ruth Strecker of Selina, KS; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marilyn Rohr.
