Jadie Wheeler

Service for Jadie Wheeler, 94, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Amos Long will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenacres Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bryan Buchanan, Rodney Jones, Larry Sparks, Gary Sparks, David Welter and Ace Martin. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wheeler passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013 in Cleburne. She was born Sept. 5, 1919 in Brown County, Tex. to William Jefferson and Mary Edna Jones Cox. She married Clarence ODell Wheeler on Nov. 9, 1937 in May, Tex. He preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 1981. Mrs. Wheeler was a member of the I-35 Church of Christ in Alvarado. She was an avid bowler and bowled until 2012 with the Golden Oldies Bowling League.

Mrs. Wheeler is survived by four children, Carol Buchanan and husband Fred of Milsap, Rhonda Jones and husband Donnie of Cleburne, Lana Sparks and husband Weldon of Hughes Springs, Tex. and Jimmy Wheeler of Covington; one sister, Iris Dean Meskimen of Corsicana; eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Albert Cox; and grandson, Ronald Dale Jones.
