Service for James Douglas Crisp, 59, of Burleson will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 13, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Larry Lynch will officiate. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park.

James Douglas Crisp passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in Ft. Worth. He was born Aug. 26, 1953 in Crosbyton to Edward and Nadine Elizabeth Hansford Crisp. He married Becky R. Lynch on Oct. 30, 2000 in Burleson.

Mr. Crisp worked as a maintenance mechanic for Alcon. He was a strong willed yet soft hearted man who loved animals, especially horses. Papaw, as his grandchildren called him, enjoyed cooking, gardening, working on cars and watching old westerns. A favorite phrase of his was Bah-Humbug. His witty nature and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Crisp; son, Cody Crisp and wife Emily; daughters, Jennifer Bumgardner and husband Jake and Julie Walker and husband Eric; grandchildren, Gareth, Tyler and Blake Crisp, Jemma, Jordin and Jake Bumgardner and Hunter and Hannah Walker; sister, Linda Barnard; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Crisp.
