James Daughtry

Service for James Clyde Daughtry, 78, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Mark Ely will officiate. Burial will be in the Peoria Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Daughtry, Jacob Walker, William Claridy, Ernest Claridy, Larry Claridy and Johnny Daughtry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Evan Daughtry and David Daughtry. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Daughtry passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 in Cleburne. He was born March 4, 1933 in Hill County to Ernest Louie and Lillie Caroline Halbert Daughtry. He married Ruthie Dell Hestilow on April 5, 1958 in Hillsboro. Mr. Daughtry was a Farm Manager for Lacy Feed Company for 17 years and a machinest for 17 years for KWS in Joshua.
Mr. Daughtry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruthie Daughtry of Cleburne; five children, James Glenn Daughtry and wife Hellan of Walnut Springs, Ernest Wyley Daughtry and wife Brenda of Cleburne, David Dwight Daughtry and wife Holly of Ft. Worth, Lillie Leann Fugate and husband Rick of Ft. Worth and Jimmy C. Daughtry of Cleburne; three brothers, Archie (Butch) Daughtry and wife Barbara, Ernest Dean Daughtry and wife Annie and Danny E. Daughtry all of Walnut Springs; sister, Nelda Marie Bennett of Morgan; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
