James Douglas Drewry

James Douglas Drewry, a quiet gentleman known for his strong independence and unwavering spirit, passed away peacefully on November 13,2024, in Keene, Texas, at the age of 89. Born on December 24, 1934, in Slaton, Texas, James lived a life marked by dedication, and resilience.

James proudly served his country in the United States Force, retiring after impressive 23 1/2 years of service. He was a devoted patriot and warrior who spent most of his distinguished military career at the SAC Command Post, where his commitment to duty and excellence was unwavering.

As a father, he leaves behind his loving children: James Douglas Drewry Jr., Curtis Michael Drewry, Cynthia Anna Drewry, Robert Anthony Drewry, Karen Lee Drewry, and Jerry Dale Drewry. The values he instilled in them, coupled with his gentle and kind demeanor, will continue to live on in each of their lives.

James is remembered for his steadfast nature, often characterized by a quiet strength and a stubborn resilience. He enjoyed living at Chisholm Trail Estates where he had a lot of friends and loved the staff. We want to thank everyone at Chisholm Trail Estates for loving him and taking care of him.
