In addition to his years in Altus, Oklahoma, he lived in many towns in north Texas -- Haltom City, North Richland Hills, Burleson, Grandview and Cleburne. His time in Grandview was especially dear to him and he enjoyed working on his little farm and in his shop.

Jim enjoyed working on and showing his antique 1949 Chevrolet Pickup with his grandson Weston. He loved restoring old trucks and tractors and collecting pocket watches. He had many professions as a mechanic, certified locksmith, and was a private pilot.
Above all, he loved his family and taking care of them. He could fix anything except a broken heart. He was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. He will be remembered for his love and kindness.
