Services for Rodney Henslee, age 69, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 4, 2024, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Eric Kirkland, Andy Graham, Joe Warlick, Ronnie Crezelius, Billy Ray Hall, and Curtis Lane. Honorary pallbearers are David Stinson, and Danny Stinson.
Rodney passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, in Cleburne. Born on March 17, 1955, in Cleburne, Rodney lived a life filled with love and laughter. He married Ramona Rodriguez on June 10, 2023, in Cleburne with a ceremony that celebrated their commitment to one another after 22 years.
Rodney was a dedicated truck driver, known for his exceptional skills behind the wheel, as well as a talented musician who brought joy to many through his performances. His sense of humor was infectious—he had a remarkable ability to make others laugh and often entertained friends and family with his jokes. Rodney's passions included fishing, riding his motorcycle, and volunteering with The American Legion, where he provided invaluable support to veterans. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Family was central to Rodney's life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ramona Henslee; his children, Daniel Henslee, Holly Carranza and her husband Joe, Tracy Bruce and her husband Terry, Sarah Parsley, Ricky Chamberlain, Eric Lovvorn, and Caleb Lovvorn and his wife Heather. He cherished his grandchildren, Angela, Diamond, Alli, Christian, Jewel, Josey, Kylie, Kaden, Rhiley, and Rhagen; and his great-grandchildren, Emma, Wyatt, Briar, Blaze, Tesla, Saylor, and Juniper. Rodney is also survived by his father, James H. Henslee; his sister, Carla Baze and her husband Steve; his mother-in-law, Betty Rodriquez; as well as his best friend - beloved dog Hooey, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Allen Henslee, and grandparents, L.J. and Jeanette Henslee, and Belle and William Allen.
