James Kemp

Service for James C. Kemp, 68, of Kopperl, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 27, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate, assisted by Mr. David Snipes. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.

James C. Kemp passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in Cleburne. He was born April 28, 1945 in Hamilton to Cecil and Zola Etoil Burns Kemp. He married Shirley Pendleton Bowling on Dec. 27, 1985 in Cleburne.

Mr. Kemp worked as a machinist for Goex and Skyline Industries. He was a member of Pottsville Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Kemp; sons, James Kemp and wife Tracy, Don Kemp, and Gary Bowling and wife Ashley; daughter, Ginger Torres and husband Daniel; seven grandchildren, Danielle, Ashley, Drew, Chloe, Raylee, Will and Connor; one great grandson, Logan; sister, Gay Howard and a number of nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Debra Sims.
