James McFarland

James “Jim” Edward McFarland, 81, of Cleburne, passed away October 31, 2018 in Cleburne. Memorial service will be 1:00 P.M Saturday November 17, 2018, in the First United Methodist Church in Cleburne

He was born May 13, 1937, in Fort Worth to James Edward and Lola McFarland. He married Mary Carolyn Roberts on April 7, 1987 in Texarkana.
James was retired from the US Navy and worked as a fire control technician on submarines during his time in the Navy. He was also a environmental health director for the city of Corpus Christi and lived in the Corpus Christi area for 31 years. James loved fishing, golf and his pitbulls and dogs of all kinds.

He is survived by his wife Mary McFarland; sons Todd McFarland and fiance Belinda Grantges, Mitch McFarland and wife Lora; grandchildren Eric McFarland and wife Allison, Calli McFarland Wright and husband Steven, Ty McFarland, Ryan McFarland, Rachel McFarland and Kennedy McFarland; great grandchildren Kason McFarland, Payton Steinhibler, Kodi Steinhibler, Reese McFarland, M.J. McFarland and Cora -Rhea Wright; brothers Tom McFarland and wife Brenda and Don McFarland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jennel McFarland Davis
