JAMES “MOE” MORALES
Graveside services for James “Moe” Morales, 70, of Whitney, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in the Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Morales passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born to Jack Edward and Elgie Valentine Gordenier Morales on October 9, 1942 in Arlington, Texas. He worked as a fireman, paramedic and police officer for over 13 years at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport, retiring 25 years ago. He and the love of his life, Annie Dollar Morales have spent the last 33 years together and were wed on February 12, 2013 in Whitney. James was a unique man, one of a kind; who was strong but gentle. You always knew where you stood with him. He was a man of his word. He was charismatic and loved to laugh. James was a giving man, who would help anyone at any time. His family was a priority in his life. Even up until his last minutes alive, he was concerned with their wellbeing. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack; sister, Katherine; and grandson, Randy.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Morales; mother, Elgie Morales; children, Kevin Morales, Angelique Pena and husband, Gene, Jerry Morales and wife, Pam, Carl Marlin, Cherri Phillips, Lorrie Welch and husband, Marvin, and Keith Marlin; grandchildren, Dianna, Cassie, Lacey, Brian, Rachael, Heather, Regina, Meghan, Alysia, Alexis, Logan, Kenneth, Phillip and Nicholas; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Jackie, Charles and Mary Lou; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
