James Pattillo

Private memorial services for James Mahlon Pattillo, 65, of Cleburne, will be held at a later date.

Mr. Pattillo passed away Friday, October 29, 2010 in Fort Worth. He was born May 6, 1945 in Monahans, Texas. He married Anita Jean Boyer on October 15, 1977 in Dallas. In 2001, he retired as Vice President of Computer Programming for Columbia Universal Life Insurance Company. "Granddad" or "Poppy James", as his grandchildren call him, enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He could often be found "piddling" around the house. His tender hearted spirit and gentle nature will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved him. James was preceded in death by his parents, Mendon M. and Lura Dell Rixse Pattillo; and nephew, Eric Pattillo.

Survivors include his wife, Anita Pattillo; children and their spouses, James M. II and Becky Pattillo, Douglas Wayne and Petra Pattillo, Mark Wade and Dallas Gorman, and Gwyn and Larry McGowan; grandchildren, Steven, Wesley, Lori, Marc, Kevin, Elizabeth, Bailey, Rachael and Greg; great grandson, Kobe; brother, Rodney Pattillo and his wife, Yumiko; nephew, Kevin Pattillo; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
