James Prine

Service for James Wayne Prine, 71, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Prine passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014 in Cleburne. He was born December 4, 1942 in Cleburne to James Auyer and Mary Josephine Porter Prine. He married Dora Dean Stagner on June 15, 1963 in Mansfield.

Wayne worked as a groundsman for Cleburne ISD, retiring in October of 2013 with 17 years of service and was the former co-owner of Prines Auto Salvage from 1976-1996. Wayne was a gospel music fan who loved the outdoors, eating out, drinking Dr. Pepper and visiting. He was a member of New Heart Family Worship. His love for people and the lasting impression he made on everyone he met will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Dora; children, Vicki Moore and husband Todd and James Wayne Jimmy Prine Jr.; five grandchildren and their spouses, Dusty and Crystal, Justin and Laura, Amberley and Chris, Ashley and Dewayne and Kristi and Phillip; nine great grandchildren; brother, Gene Prine; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
