James Rice

Memorial services for James Warren Rice, 53, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, October 30, 2010 in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday, October 25, 2010. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice or Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in lieu of flowers. Mr. Rice passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 in Cleburne. He was born to J.C. and Anita Rhoades Rice in Orange County, California. He married Connie Ruth Camp on October 9, 2010 in Cleburne. James worked at Rubbermaid for over 13 years. He was of the Baptist faith. James was an optimistic man that was well respected. He was known for his smile and ability to make others smile as well. He was a giver, always helping others. He enjoyed the outdoors and nature, especially hunting and fishing. James' teasing nature and understanding spirit will be missed greatly by all those that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Rice; children, Lacey Rice and her husband, Justin Delockroy, Stacy Rice and his companion, Jeremy Johnson, Chey Peugh, Cody Peugh and Luke Johns; sisters, Edna Lackey and Sheila Stevens and her husband, Rich; three grandchildren, Trenton Delockroy, Tristen Peugh and Tex Bowens; nephew, Brian Lackey; nieces, Lana Wiggin, Brandy Horton, Courtney Lamon, Alison Caughron, Maegan Caughron, Cayla Camp and Serenity Gan; sisters in law, Rhonda Caughron and husband, Steve "Bubba" and Ginny Gan and husband, Russell; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
