James Roberts
A graveside service for James S. Roberts 80, of Godley, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday November 4, 2015 in the Collinsville Cemetery, Collinsville, Texas. Mr. Daren Schroeder will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.
James S. Roberts passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015. He was born September 25, 1935 in Howe to James and Frances Roberts. He married Marsha Scoggin on October 30, 1964 in Ethel, Texas.
Mr. Roberts was a loving husband and father. He was a veteran of the 7th US Infantry Regiment 3rd Infantry Division. James was a retired rural mail carrier for the US Postal service and former Mayor and Municipal Court judge of Godley, Texas. He was a member of Godley Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marsha Roberts of Godley; sons Ted S. Roberts and J.D. Roberts.
