James Snider

Services for James Albert Snider, 59, of Arlington will be conducted at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008 in the Mt. Olivet chapel in Ft. Worth. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Rev. Alan Lobaugh will officate.
Mr. Snider passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008. He was born April 27, 1949 in Ft. Worth to Albert Wiley and Ida Nell Muir Snider. He graduated from Cleburne High School in 1968 and Texas Christian University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. He taught journalism and photography and supervised publishing the yearbook in McAllen and Grand Prairie for 32 years, retiring in 2004 and has continued to do substitute teaching at Adams Middle School in Grand Prairie.He enjoyed hunting, fishing and all sports and being with family and friends.
Mr. Snider is survived by his mother, Ida Nell Ballew and step-father Henry Bernard Ballew of Cleburne; sister, Marianne Walker and husband Bill of Ft. Worth; step-sisters, Jane Bacon and husband Don of Canyon Lake, Judy Vinson and husband Darrell of Cleburne; step-brother, Henry B. Ballew, Jr. and friend Ernie Robinson of Burleson; nephew, Robert King and wife Ann Katherine and their children, Sara and Grant; niece Mary Nell Andrus and husband John and their children, Claire and Meredith and numerous other relatives and freinds. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Wiley Snider in 1986; grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
