A visitation, for James Harrold Whitehead, 83 of Alvarado will take place on March 17, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home, located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033. followed by a funeral service the same day at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel at 2:00 PM.
James Harrold Whitehead, a beloved member of his community, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his family on March 13, 2025, in Alvarado, Texas. Born on August 29, 1941, in Lone Star, Texas, he dedicated his life to his family and to helping others.
James was a member of Friendship Church, where he exhibited his deep faith and commitment to nurturing the spiritual well-being of those around him. His character was defined by dedication, hard work, and an unwavering sense of honesty. Those who had the privilege to know him admired his honorable nature and cherished his great sense of humor, which brought joy to countless gatherings.
James is survived by his wife Jessie Whitehead, children: Patti and Rick Zimmerman, Tiffenie and Edwin Crowder, Todd and Amy Whitehead, and Shane Whitehead, grandchildren, Lauren, Abigail, Chandler, Rachel, Latisha, Juan, Alisha, Valerie, Zach, Garrett, and his ten great-grandchildren. James's love for his family was evident in everything he did, as he worked tirelessly to ensure their happiness and success.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Olin Ellis Whitehead and Francis Inez Huggins Whitehead, as well as his sister, Francis Ollene Vaughn and brother, Lowell Whitehead. Their memory remains alive in the hearts of those who loved him, and they are now reunited.
James Harrold Whitehead will be remembered not only for his steadfast work ethic and sense of humor but also for the love he radiated, both within his family and throughout the community. His presence will be profoundly missed. James left a spiritual legacy to his family as well a living example to all that knew him.
