James Wright

Service for James E. Wright, 81, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 29, 2022 at Westhill Church of Christ. Mr. Russell Crook will officiate. Private family burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Cody McDonald, Rick Coleman, Brent Easdon, Mike Lehrmann, David Lloyd and Curtis Birchfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Lillard, Butch Jowell, Charles Anderson and Melvin Burt.

James passed away July 23, 2022 in Fort Worth. He was born March 31, 1941 in Cleburne to William Thomas and Naomi Ruth Brown Wright. James was a real estate broker with over 58 years in the real estate business. Along with his wife Linda, they started Wright Realty in 1977, twenty years later it became Re/Max of Cleburne. James was a 1959 graduate of CHS and an ardent supporter of all Cleburne schools and athletics, from Re/Max ‘Above The Crowd’ awards for elementary students to the scoreboard at the baseball field to cheering on the Yellow Jackets on Friday nights sponsoring touchdowns, PATs, he loved it all! He was honored with an election to the CHS Wall of Fame in 2018. He was a member of Westhill Church of Christ, serving many years as a deacon.

James is survived by his daughters, Kelli Lehrmann and husband, Steve of Cleburne, Stacy Williams of Cleburne and Angel Konstantin and husband, Robert of Katy; grandchildren, Christian Lehrmann and wife, Kacey, Cameron Lehrmann, Jordan Price and husband, Garrett, Tucker Williams, Reese Williams, Grace Lee and Gabby Lee; great grandchild, Colette Lehrmann; brother, Harold Wright and wife Marlene; sister, Betty Murrah; numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved pet, Belle.

James is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Wright in 2013 and brother, Billy Wright.
