Janice Diamond, age 79, was the daughter of Donald & Faye (Plumlee) Diamond of Cleburne.
Janice was born in Weatherford, Tx and fell in love with country music at an early age. She made it an adventure of playing the guitar, entertaining and traveling, putting on country & western shows across the country in her early years.
Although she never married, she was Aunt Janice to many nieces and nephews both great and small as well as a beloved sister. Always remembering everyone's birthday and major events to celebrate their lives.
From the beginning of her life, she was independent. She began working at Lamm Music while in high school and many in Cleburne remember her joy and enthusiasm regarding the latest album or release. For many years she was the go to girl for your musical entertainment. Then she began singing and playing her guitar on stage for many events and appeared as a regular many times on the local venue and TV from Panther Hall in Ft. Worth, the starting place for many beloved stars of country & western music. Even traveling to New Mexico and Arizona to play entertainment for John Wayne's movie "True Grit".
She then continued writing and composing while working the next decade at McDonald's in Ft. Worth in management, collecting the first of the Ronald McDonald's treasured pieces. Brown & Root in Glen Rose, Tx. was her next decade phase of learning security computers while serving our community with her church and music.
She loved music, politics, church, friends and family. She is survived by her beloved twin sister, Jannette Earley and her husband, Bill; sister, Sylvia Diamond; sister, Dianna Kirkley and her husband, David; her brother, Don Diamond and his wife, Deborah; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald & Faye (Plumlee) Diamond and her sister, Patricia Ann Galbreaith of Weatherford
