Janie Shrader

Services for Janie Lea Shrader, 75, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Brother Taylor Lassiter will officiate. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park next to her husband. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Janie Lea Shrader passed from this world on September 2, 2013. She was born May 5, 1938 in Morgan, Texas, educated in Bosque and Tarrant County schools, and was a graduate of Johnson County Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Janie had a fulfilling career in the Intensive and Coronary Care Units.

Along with her nursing career, she poured her life into her family. She was an avid gardener, painter, quilter, writer, and cook. Her husband, children, 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grand children, brothers and sisters were constantly in her thoughts.

Janie was preceded in death by her parents Hershel and Annie (Parks) Duvall; brothers Jimmy Carrol, John Harry, and Don Weldon Duvall; son, Michael Lassiter and her husband, E. W. (Sonny) Shrader.

She is survived by her children David Lassiter, Rebecca Van Winkle (Les), Danial Lassiter (Jennifer), and Rhonda Lassiter; step-daughter, Christy Thacker (Danny); grandchildren, Jeremy Van Winkle, Erika Van Winkle, Taylor Lassiter, Brittanie Lassiter, Garrett Lassiter, Reid Lassiter, Drew Lassiter, Kael Lassiter, Bryan Thacker, Lauren Bastible, Krystle Henson, Kyle Ratliff and Kash Ratliff; great grandchildren, Brody Bastible, Timothy Lassiter, Caleb Lassiter, Kitara Henson, Clay Henson and Calvin Lassiter; and siblings Pat Duvall, Nell Duvall and Gayle White.
