Memorial visitation for Jay Jackson, 70, of Cleburne will be conducted from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, July 19, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.
Jay Jackson passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in Cleburne. He was born Nov. 26, 1942 in Houston to James Farrar Sr. and Mabelle Jewel Foster Jackson. He married Mary Ann Stewart on Aug. 28, 1965 in Cleburne.
Mr. Jackson served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. He worked as a machinist for the Santa Fe Railroad for 18 years and for the police department at the University of Texas at Arlington as a civilian for 10 years. He was a jokester whose favorite pastimes were working on electronics, computers, and cameras and going to Wal-Mart. Jay was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Jackson; siblings, Jo Ann Frizzell and husband Jim, Charles Osborne and wife Doris and Jerry Osborne and wife Terrell; several nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends; and beloved cats, Dolly and Molly. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Farrar Jackson Jr. and stepmother Pearl Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the givers favorite charity.
