Graveside service for J.B. Williams, 77, of Nemo, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, Mar. 11, 2013 in the Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.
J.B. Williams passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013. He was born Mar. 21, 1935 in Rock Tank to Ross Jackson and Jessie Fadonia Springfield Williams. He married Mary Ann Oliver in January of 1954 in Hood County. She preceded him in death on July 13, 2012.
Mr. Williams was a farmer, rancher, mechanic and carpenter. He was also a maintenance supervisor at Squaw Creek Park before retiring. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandson, Jake. His strong will and independent spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include sons, Jackey Bob Williams and wife Valerie and Jerrell Wayne Williams and wife, Martha; daughters, Jill Riddle and husband, Billy and Joy Worley and husband, Don; nine grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sisters, Vivian Brown, Vera Carper and Thelma Gorman; brother, Mutt Williams; foster brother, Red Dickey; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Jonell Williams; siblings, Jack, Milton, Ray, Butch, and a sister.
