Jean Parker

Service for Jean Gray Parker, 88, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, prior to the service.

Jean Gray Parker joined our Lord on Mar. 30, 2013. She was born June 19, 1924 in Rising Star to Raymond and Virginia Harriet Gray. She moved to Fort Worth in 1942 to help with the war effort assembling airplanes at Consolidated Aircraft Corporation. Jean married Cleland M. Parker on Dec. 17, 1943. She worked in the Fort Worth Public School Cafeteria Department for a number of years before moving to Cleburne in the mid 1970s. Jean was a member of Henderson Street Baptist Church in Cleburne. Jean was loving and cared deeply for her family and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Cleland Parker and her eldest son Jimmy Parker.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Sammy and Veronica Parker of Kellyville, Okla.; her grandsons, Travis Gray Parker of Euless and Trenton Ward Parker and wife Karis Ann Parker of Oklahoma City, Okla; great granddaughter, Anderson Kate Parker; two brothers; Joe Gray of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, and Frank Gray of Santa Anna; and sister; Virginia McBride of Rising Star.
