A gathering and visitation for Jean Puett, 88, of Burleson, will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M., on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the funeral home.

Phylis Jean Puett, age 88, passed away on October 11, 2024, in Burleson, Texas. Born on July 10, 1936, in Temple, Texas, she was the daughter of R. Curtis and Mary E. (Martin) Boese. Throughout her life, Jean demonstrated a deep commitment to her family and community. She was united in marriage to William Andrew Puett, who was the love of her life. A dedicated professional, Jean worked as a Telephone Operator in the communications field for many years. Jean was of the Methodist faith and embraced life with passion. She cherished her many trips to the islands of Hawaii, accumulating fond memories over more than 27 visits. An animal lover at heart, she held a special affection for her dogs, Sumo and Wendy. Jean also had a keen appreciation for fashion, filling her closets with an extensive collection of stylish clothing, shoes, and beautiful jewelry, reflecting her vibrant personality. Her captivating spirit and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sister, Merikay Horton; nephews, Danny Horton and Karl Horton; niece, Tiffany Nelson and her husband Kelly; stepson, Henry Curtis Evans; great-nieces and nephews, including Mason Nelson, Cailin Nelson, Coda Nelson, McCovey Nelson, Bella Nelson, Brennen Horton, Brooke Horton, and Zion Seale; and her two fur-babies.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Puett; and her son, Richard Curtis Evans.
