Jeane McNeely

Jeane Liddell McNeely, 71, a retired registered nurse, died Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Fort Worth.
Funeral services are 10am, Friday, December 23, at Crosier Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home, Cleburne. Burial: 3pm, Friday, Stacy Cemetery, Stacy, Texas. Visitation: 6-8 pm, Thursday, at the funeral home.
Jeane was born on August 4th, 1934 in Winters, Texas. She graduated from Hendrick Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Abilene, Texas in 1962 and passed her State Board of Nurses Exam the same year. She began her nursing career and eventually retired from Arlington Memorial Hospital, Arlington, Texas, as head surgical nurse and moved to Cleburne. She served on the Cleburne Water Board for a few years then decided to just enjoy life and do her crafts. Jeane shared her love of making things with many wonderful friends, she was very talented and the many hours of love that she put into every project will always be cherished by those fortunate to be recipients of her hard work.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the many doctors, nurses, friends, and especially to Pat and the staff at HEB Pharmacy as well as Charles and the staff of Home Town Medical in Cleburne for their many years of compassionate care and giving they provided during her illness. Special Thank You's also go to Raney Ray for the laughter you shared with her and the compassion you showed her at your office and to Michelle for making the trip to the house when she needed you.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Edgar S. McNeely and her parents C.L. and Faye Liddell.
To our Mother, our Mimi:
You taught us all so well the meaning of life; to love with conviction, to laugh out loud and even at ourselves, to have faith and even to cry. You were always there day and night - always teaching us wrong from right; you loved your family with such devotion that you left us all with more than a notion of what life is all about. The memories, the lessons, the talks late at night, your laughter, your tears, your kind words of advice - your magnificent sense of humor that made us all laugh - will go on forever for you passed it on to your grandchildren and they like us will benefit from your love for all eternity. There have been great Mothers this is true but Mimi there surely has never been one quite like YOU!!! As the days pass and turn into years, we will all feel you around us because there's still a lot of you here. When we get together, like families do, we will hear you in the laughter, the songs, and the sayings because those things stay behind while you go to heaven. Words will never be able to describe to others the person you were. We hope by our actions, others get to see that part of you that was grand - and make a comment or two - like that family was loved and blessed at one time in their lives - and we will resound loudly, "Yes we Were. We were loved by our Mother!"
With love in our hearts forever,
Your Children and grandchildren
