Jeremy was born to Jerry and Jayne Black Moore on November 5, 1974, in Cleburne. He married Leanna Hanson on August 2, 2003, in Fort Worth, Texas. As a young child and through adulthood, Jeremy had an absolute dislike for school. Despite his dislike, he was a hard worker and he graduated Grandview High School with honors in 1993. He then went on to graduate from Tarleton State University in 1997 with a Bachelors of Business Administration. Jeremy worked most recently as a General Contractor for Glendarroch Homes since 2010, where he was known as the “favorite” around the office. He was very good at his job, as problem solving came naturally to him. He had a big personality and lit up any room he entered, whether through his beautiful blue eyes, dry sense of humor and teasing nature or by his smile. Although, smiling for the camera was not his favorite. His world revolved around family. As a devoted son, he visited his parents several times a week and spoke to his mom on the phone every day. When he recounted his first date with Leanna (it was a blind date!), he said they instantly clicked, and he was totally in love. Throughout their 19 years of marriage, his love for Leanna and the family they created never changed. One of Jeremy and Leanna’s favorite activities was to participate in their son’s sports. He often coached his son’s teams. Jeremy was a very involved father and very proud of his sons. He was teaching his oldest son how to drive. Two times a year the whole family, along with his nephew, Graham, would go to Galveston. This was a family tradition in which many cherished memories were made together. He absolutely loved to fish. He and his sons would fish 2 or 3 times a week at his best friend’s pond. If you needed to burn a pile of brush, trees, anything, Jeremy was your man! He often saved the burn pile (and the fireworks) from getting out of control. Jeremy was a man of great integrity and character, who had a strong will and independent streak. Most of the time he thought he was right and often he was! Occasionally, his strong will would get him in trouble with the officiants at his son’s games. Those who spent time with him always knew where they stood and how he felt about them. He was devoted and loyal to his friends as well. Many people count him as their best friend. His huge heart and giving spirit often made him worry about others. Often animals could sense his kind spirit and gravitated towards him. His love of life and ability to show kindness to the many lives he encountered in his 47 years on Earth will forever make an impact. Jeremy was of Christian faith and is in heaven with the loved ones that have gone before us. He will be missed deeply for years to come.
