Jerrell Houston (Jerry) Severs, born August 3, 1942 went home to be with his Lord and Savior; April 18, 2015; at the age of; 72 years, 8 months, 15 days.
He was a retired/disabled truck driver. He served his country in the United States Navy, a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn; son, Jerrell Jr.; parents, Ned Houston and Eva Virginia Severs; grandson, Christerfer Angel Henderson; and brothers-in-law, Frank and Herbert Roberts.
He is survived by his wife, Demetria (Dee); stepson, Mark Henderson; sister, Rosemary and her husband Jim Berry; three granddaughters, Kimberly, Meagan, and Kristin; great grandson, Kaleb Handley. Also all his caring and loving sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Daisy and Darrell Dowdy, Frances Moses, David (JD) and Kathleen Roberts, Janice Roberts, Linda Roberts and Jerry (JJ), and Kathryn Roberts; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He will be greatly missed and remembered for his love and caring he so willingly gave and shared with everyone. Also all the jokes, songs and memories he shared!
