Jerry Dawson

Memorial service for Jerry Wayne Dawson, 73, of Alvarado will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 21, 2011 in the Greenacres Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Dawson passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in Alvarado. He was born July 22, 1937 in Cleburne to J.D. and Bobbie Kendricks Dawson. He married Mary Ann Sartor.

Mr. Dawson served in the Marine Corps and was a paint contractor in construction. He was an avid fisherman and a member of Hillside Baptist Church in Alvarado.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Dawson of Alvarado; daughter, Wendy Gentry and husband Howard of Everman; sons, Jeff Dawson and wife Carolyn of Haltom City and Kevin Dawson of Cleburne; stepdaughters, Mary Lee Fischer and husband Mark of Panama City, Florida and Jill Steele and husband Larry of Arlington; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers; one sister and a host of other relatives and friends.
