Graveside service for Jerry Lee Hembree, 76, of Alvarado will be conducted at 9:15 A.M., Friday, April 18, 2014 in the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
Jerry Lee Hembree passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 in Alvarado. He was born February 25, 1938 in Greenfield, Missouri. He married Constance (Connie) Tassin in December of 2008.
Mr. Hembree served in the United States Marine Corps and owned and operated a construction company and an appliance sales company. He was a cowboy who loved kids, horses and dogs and was an avid football fan. Traveling, woodworking, tool making, gardening and cooking were also some of his favorite hobbies. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Hembree; children, Steve Acker and wife Cathy, and Laura Lee Hembree and husband, Steven Rice, Barbara Hyder and husband Duane; grandchildren, Mallory, Sarah, Amber, Eric, Stephanie, Zane and Jeffery; several great grandchildren; siblings, Kalia Orr, Thomas Hembree, and Charles Hembree; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeffery Wind; and brother, Don Hembree.
